Bredonborough.

A wet morning,

Shopping on the High Street, loading for DGM HQ, and shortly off. I would rather not be leaving the Minx today.

Arriving c. 12.45.

Mucho awaiting my attention…

… including books for my current academic reading. Two have been sent by a publisher interested in my authorial capacities…

…  and others from my Book Pusher & Reading Mentor, Dr. Alfonso…

Also, the final version of Andrew Keeling’s Analysis, edited by Mark Graham…

Andrew is well aware that what it is in music, that brings us all to life, escapes analysis. Nevertheless, we approach impossibility as we may.

Kitchen discussion with David re: the settlement letter with Island UMG, who continue to be unaware of my address. This is interesting: Sanctuary UMG know the address, as do BMG – UMG, as does Mr. Big Cheese at UMG. But UMG, one of the Big Four, is just not joined up. That is, its size renders it inefficient: a large, immobile unit which does not know itself.

Inside My Head… a wonderfully mad Vicar song, more recent than most in the Vicar’s Songbook, is erupting from SoundWorld I. It is wonderful; it is mad.

My visit to Dorset has been put back several hours. Shortly off…

00.47    Firstly to Dorchester via the Leggs, dropping off their Christmas presents & 5 boxes of books recently culled from shelves; these mainly history & acquired from a reading-bachelorhood before I met my about-to-be-becoming Wife. The Leggs have accepted responsibility for finding these a good home, which may well be their own.

Then to Deeper Dorset, to attend a meeting for several who have been engaging with & applying notions & ideas of JGB for at least 35 years. An insight towards the end of our evening, which may have practical effect. A highly profitable evening. Leaving at 23.30.

It waits…
